SRC REPORT 2008
This year has been a successful and exciting year for the SRC.
The SRC have been discussing new ideas to make the school a better place. Some of the most important things we have done are a playground survey to find out what kids like to do when they are in the playground and a chess competition which was a great idea that came from the survey. Fifty students took part in the chess competition.

The Fiji Project was also really worthwhile. Students brought in books, sporting equipment and games to help a school called Vutia District School. Everybody donated and we had many things which went in a shipping container to Fiji to help the students of Vutia. Earlier this year we went to a Young Leaders Day at Sydney Entertainment Centre and learnt lots of things about good leadership. The Minister for Education and Training visited our school to present some special awards to our Community of Schools. Some members of our SRC went to Bankstown West Primary School to meet their SRC and to share ideas about what we can do at our schools.
We have enjoyed helping out around Tharawal and hope that next year’s SRC will enjoy it as much as we have.
